Is there a read-only mode?

Is there a mode that disables the program's ability to change the files or their timestamps?

I just want to be able to use it as a viewer, without accidentally changing the files (although still retaining the adjustments would be nice).

    Thanks.

No, but consider that the save and delete buttons on the processing panel only save to the parameter DB - they do not modify the images. So it is impossible to destroy the original images using these buttons. I think you were asking for exactly that feature (…still retaining the adjustments but not changing the files) - the intention of the parameter DB is exactly that use case.
Some persistent operations are defined as user commands in the INI file (delete, rotate lossless). You can delete them from the INI file - then they are no longer available.

    Thanks, that sounds fine.
