What header does the QIF file have (!Type:...)?

The account list is not updated when importing from a QIF
file. Save the JMoney file, close it and reopen it. This
    should help.

Will be fixed in the next version.

I have tried importing the .qif, saving the file, closing
out and re-opening the jmoney file. I get no data back at all.

Same in Windows ME. (Not leaving an e-mail just for this "me
    too".)

    Thank you to all volunteers.
