I highyly recommend looking at how the NIBs are
implemented with OpenStep, NeXTStep, GNUStep and MacOS
X. They may provide some inspiration. See also:

Having a solution to be able to 'compile' the XML into
a smaller binary format would provide the advantage of
reduced file sizes and improvied performance.
