Don't know what the main purpose was, but I must
admitt that I got a bit dissapointed when I found JDAI
didn't have the simpliest support for 'tagging' images.
I think it's necessary to be able to categorize the
images in multiple threaded categories.
Use case
A picture of my house with my spouse washing the car
in the front.
Categories:
Locations.Denmark.Copenhagen.MyVillage.OurHouse
People.MyFamily.MySpouse
Activities.Cleaning
Items.car
Another picture on my spouse sitting in the car outside
a hotel in Fredrikshavn:
Categories:
Locations.Denmark.Fredrikshavn
People.MyFamily.MySpouse
Activities.CarDriving
Activities.Holiday
Items.car
Now imagine a category tree where each level of the
categories above had a checkbox. (ie, Locations,
Denmark, Copenhagen)
If the user checks Location or Denmark both pictures
should be shown. But if she only checks the
Copenhagen picture within and below the Copenhagen
category will be shown.
What do you guys think about this?
