Two issues: 1) Images that are supposed to have areas filled with colors dont always render with the areas filled. I have some images that the fill doesnt work at all, and others where it works in some areas and not others.
2) Some of the images have "highlighting" squares to direct attention to a particular part of the graphic. That area is, perhaps, colored with a red dotted, hatched or candy stripe pattern, and then surrounded by a solid red border. These show up with solid red across the entire region.

I dont have any examples I can release due to proprietary issues. I'll keep looking, but was hoping this might be enough info to help.

For (1), it sounds like it might be related to figures. Figures are not implemented at all yet so the fill will only work correctly on ellipse, rectangle and polygon primitives. May be you can confirm that images where you see the problem use figures and images that render fine don't.

For (2), it is a bit hard to know what goes wrong without seeing the commands. Since you cannot release the images, I suggest you check the WebCGM test suite at http://docs.oasis-open.org/webcgm/test-materials/webcgm20ts/webcgm20-ts-index.html and try to find a similar error there. Let me know which image from the suite looks wrong and I'll investigate.
