This is an idea which I have never seen in an open
source bug tracking tool.
The idea is a bug may relate to multiple versions of a
tool.
So, if a problem is found in version 5 but this fix
needs to be back ported to version 4.5 and then
integrated into version 6 code it is one bug with
multiple issues.
All of these issues may be assigned to different
people. Tools such as bugzilla, another bug tracking
tool you probably know a lot about...
Work around this problem by having bugs depend on each
other. All of the managers I have worked under feel
this is still broken.
The result is a department is created to write a new
custom tool when open source ones are great.
If you can still make changes to your tools structure I
urge you to add this feature.
Please email me if you would like more input or help to
implement this.

To me this is a single issue with multiple affected versions
which ITracker supports. The one thing I could see being
added is mutiple issue owners which would allow you to
assign it to more than one person. I'll think about adding that
since I have seen places where this would be useful. Would
this and just using good text descriptions solve your problem?

Perfect, I'm sorry, I had only read over all of the docs and
did not recall seeing this. Yes I think adding multiple
people should solve the problem. Perhaps also linking the
person to a problem version...? Your call on this.
Please excuse me, I just see your tool as fulfilling almost
all of the requirements I had a few month back. At the time
I ended hacking Bugzilla to make it all work.
One last question...
Can you have more than two statuses? If so where are they
set?
Thank you so much for all your help,
