I had this. The permissions were set incorrectly. After I
changed the ipaudit home directory and all its contents to be
owned by user and group ipaudit it worked fine.
Do this:
cd /home
chown -r ipaudit.ipaudit ipaudit

I am experiencing this same problem. My ipaudit dir
permissions are set as suggested, but I'm still seeing this.
The only difference I can think of is that my ipaudit home
dir is not in /home, but everything else appears to work fine.
