I don\'t know where to put the iccxml files after installing sampleicc on os x. sampleicc-binaries are in /usr/local/bin and libraries in /usr/local/include/SampleICC

Ok, I had to add the path with the SampleICC source code to $PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable. No it works.
