#5 Patch for kernel 2.6.17

Here is a patch to get the iburst code working under
kernel 2.6.17. There has been substantial reoganisation
(actually it appears to be quite a simplification) of
the pcmcia subsystem. I made most of the modifications
by looking at the changes to other pcmcia drivers.

It is getting to be a bit of a forest of
#if LINUX_VERSION now, it might be worth just forking
off old versions to work with the old linux kernels.

Hi Damian,

Your patches have been included in the ibdriver-1.3.1-linux-2.6.17 release. Thank you for taking the time to help!

We too were concerned with the #if LINUX_VERSION 'forest', hence the move to the 1.3 release, in which we've removed all the code for earlier versions (which continue to be supported with the 1.2 release).

With the new 'clean' code, we are again trying to get the kernel group to include this driver in the standard distribution.
