I am wondering if htcheck would be a useful tool for this circumstance.
I run a links database, a very small yahoo of sorts, that stores its info in a mysql database. Presently I have no way of verifiying that my current links are still good.
would on be able to use htcheck to test the links in the mysql database and generate results? I would imagine this would requires that htcheck be able to be pointed to a mysql database, and from there crawl it.
Looks like a great, and useful tool!
Thanks,
Michael

Well, htcheck cannot read from a MySQL database directly, rather it can store its results in it. But, as long as your 'yahoo'-like web site reads from the database of categories, and shows the results in HTML, YES, ht://Check can be used to check those links!
Anyhow, if you have some questions, please use the mailing list (go to htcheck.sourceforge.net and click on support).
