Hi people, I have another question...well problem in solving following issue. Currently my gumstix ships with a linux 2.6.36 kernel: .... Image Name: Angstrom/2.6.36/overo Image Type: ARM Linux Kernel Image (uncompressed) .... Related with an i2c problem which I could not solve until today (Check the thread: "I2C Communication Problems" within this forum) I tried to use the modprobe command to load modules: robot@overo:/$ modprobe i2c-dev FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.36/modules.dep: No such file or directory Well, yeah...there is no folder named "2.6.36" within the "modules" folder and successively no file named "modules.dep". How can I solve this problem? ...Can anyone tell me, if there's actually one (!) overo image (kernel) , which "really" supports the i2c bus system, modules and that stuff, in order to be able to follow the i2c usage instructions on the gumstix sites? Slowly but surely I'm loosing my mind on this. If this is what it shipped with, I've had rotten luck getting a heavily customized kernel to boot off the NAND. It's a black art IMHO. For debugging and environment cleanliness reasons I prefer the SD card approach... Is there anything at all in the /lib/modules folder? > Slowly but surely I'm loosing my mind on this.
