MPC currently obeys prohibited user operations on DVDs. I really hate those things. Is there any way to disable that? Or it this even possible for MFC to do or is it all handled in some external codec or something?

I am wondering about this, too. I thought part of the MPC concept was to give full control over navigation, but recently, I have noticed that I am forced to sit through what is sometimes 2 or 3 minutes of waiting before I can navigate. Especially upsetting when I watch half a movie one day, and want to get right to where I left off to finish it up the next. I do not remember this being a problem until the last couple of years.
