It would be nice to be able to rename downloads/incomplete files.

At least in the GUI (I don't care the actual name of the file in the "Incomplete" dir), but the new name should be applied to the file on completition.

Reasons:

1. Better sorting of downloads.
(sorting makes no sense with these: "foobar1_by_mikey.txt" and "mikey_-_foobar2.txt")

2. Filenames with mostly special chars can become proper names.
(No more "_____-________02.rar"!)

3. Stupid long filenames can be renamed to fit in the "Filename" column.
("holy crap u wont believe it omg totally freakin funny lol rofl tonys clumsy kitten.mpg" -> "clumsy_kitten.mpg" = no crap in the "Filename" column)

4. Files that have been found through their dir names (or some metadata) can get proper names right after adding them as a download.
(Search was "clumsy kitten"; Result was "001.mpg"; Manually rename it to "clumsy_kitten_001.mpg" immediately so one knows what it is while downloading and later on)

Suggestions:

The Downloads->Details->Filename row/column is already editable, but when editing is done, it is reset to it's old value. Maybe the changes could be comitted to the download instead.

This is implemented in current SVN now. You can also rename files using the shell interface.

For what it's worth, case 2 should almost never happen if you use UTF-8 and opt for allowing evil characters in filenames.
