You'll want to install the gnome-dev package, if you're running Debian, just 'apt-get install libgnome-dev', if you're running redhat or other RPM-based distributions (of Linux), you'll have to ask someone else. As for the BSD flavors, I've no clue. Just know that you'll need to install the gnome development packages. It's missing gnome-config, which tells gnome where its libs and headers and stuff are. It also looks like you're missing aclocl, autoconf, automake, autoheader, etc. You'll need to grab those packages as well. hello list-members, I'am new here and hadn't read any posting until now, but I have "hopefully" a easy question: after unpacking I start the "configure" script under a xterm:root session in /usr/src/gshop and I get: ============================================================= loading cache ./config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for working aclocal... found checking for working autoconf... found checking for working automake... found checking for working autoheader... found checking for working makeinfo... found checking for gnome-config... no checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install ============================================================= so ... mmhhh :-( I can't "locate" this file. What can I do? Michael Hintz, Germany, Luebeck |

Hey all, Glad to be part of the dev team. SF seems a little lacking in it's back end at the moment. I know a couple of projects that have recently moved or planned to move from it, and I'm becoming somewhat frustrated with it as well, but something I read in the Threewave Q3A docs speaks to me here: For a full refund, delete our product. So, I won't whine about it, but I still do need a place to write up my feature requests when I come across them. Is this list suitable for such things, or should we start another list for such things, or maybe we should get on VA and the OSDN people? My current feature request is for a phonetical field to fill in those hard to pronounce customer names. I'm also interested in looking in to an open database of GIS stuff, if anyone's interested in questing with me. So, I think that is enough for one post. Nice to meet you all, C.J. |
