#7 Tesseract - can't get language

Hey Guys,

would like to know how to switch language of tesseract. Even if I install de German tesseract version form the packet sources of my Ubuntu 12.04 I can't switch to German because even only English is selectable.

You don't say which version of gscan2pdf you are using, but the version that is packaged with 12.04 is very old and doesn't support new versions of tesseract.

The solution is to install the latest version of gscan2pdf from the ppa (https://launchpad.net/~jeffreyratcliffe/+archive/ppa)
