The diagrams for pointing the dish, could be printed out on a template that can be stuck on cardboard, wood, or metal and clamped to the dish pole to aid easy pointing.
The printout would include a magnetic and/or grid north reference direction.
The printout could include a pointer that could be taped or clamped on to the dish for both elevation and azimuth.
There could also be a protractor for vertical alignment, that can show the angle of pointing even for an offset LNB - perhaps it could be calibrated once the first satellite is detected.
