CVS tree updated (and an offical call for developers)

The CVS tree for GPLTrans (http://www.translator.cx/) has now been updated to the 0.9.12 release. More info on how to access the tree can be found at http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=427.

This is an offical call for developers. It doesn't matter if you are not a linguistics major. Coders are needed to fix bugs and implement portions of the TODO. A development site will come soon to facilitate development among the team members.... read more

Translation engine rewritten

The translation engine for GPLTrans has been somewhat rewritten. Most of the PostgreSQL-specific code has been removed and placed into a seperate database module. Because of this, 0.9.5 has been released today.

Now is the perfect time to start to help code certain parts of GPLTrans that need coding. If you want to participate, join the gpltrans-discuss and gpltrans-announce mailing lists. There are several parts of GPLTrans that still need to be solidified, and hopefully you can help make it the most accurate language translator ever.

0.9.1 released

0.9.1 has been released. This adds HTML template support via the GPLT tag. All that's supported right now is retrieving the translation and the original text.

0.9.0 released

0.9.0 is the first development release in (hopefully) a long line of 0.9.x releases. It basically throws out all the PHP code and replaces it with fast, efficent C CGI code. It's nowhere near what the PHP version had, but those things are being worked on.
