Many chm files of CJK languages don't asigned the
encoding of the page. GnoCHM will use the system
default encoding to display the chm files. But
sometimes the encoding isn't same as the users'
local. For excample, my local is zh_CN.UTF-8, but most
of the Chinese chm files ' encoding is zh_CN.GBK. So I
wish GnoCHM can supply a function to let user change
the display encoding by himself. Just like some web
browser have done. Many many thanks!

Same for me. Need View->Encoding like in web browsers.
I use ru_RU.KOI8-R under Linux but many chm files in cp1251 (windows) encoding.

That will be very useful thing!
Most russian .chm documents contents text in cp1251, but i'm using ru_RU.UTF8, and can't read them by using your app.
