gmail-mobile 1.3.1 UPDATE has been released and fixes Gmail signin changes and problems with servers using php safe_mode ON or php >= 4.4.4

gmail-mobile (a.k.a. unofficial Gmail Mobile since Sept. 2004) provides access to Gmail and Googlemail accounts on wireless mobiles, pdas, and more. Convenient, mobile and powerful. There is no need -- or excuse -- to be away from your email.

As noted before, a few users have described gmail-mobile as "the best thing since sliced bread." Version 1.2, was the "butter" on that sliced bread. Version 1.3 adds a slice of cheese.
