Welcome to Globalism (Hedgewars script/mode)
This is the guide for how to use this mode.

--introduction--

Globalism is a 3rd party "addon" to Hedgewars. It actually uses some ugly ways to achieve its goals. Anyways this mode will allow you to set up a weaponset "a set of weapons", and a somewhat configurable own weapon. Dont have high expectations on the own weapon.

Two weaponsets will be distributed on a hog, so if you have 2 hogs then you will have 2*2 weaponsets. All weapons belonging to the weaponset + the customizable own weapon will be selectable at the first turn of the game. The weaponset is selected with tab.

Q and A "Introduction".

Q: How do i select the own weapon? OR I cant find my own weapon?
A: Select the weapon skip and press the key "1" <= this might be fixed. Note that you also will get 2 own weapons by default.

Q: Why doesnt i get the weaponset on the hog i made it for?
A: 1. This mode is "per team weapons" like default, also each weaponset is saved on a hog and by that way transmitted into the game.

--How to install--

First you need to download the current version of this mode.
When i wrote this page its, 1.0b.

Follow each step and your path to victory is near.

1. You will then recieve a .zip folder, extract that file to a "temporary folder" in which you do the next step. (google extract if you dont know what it means).

2. You will then have a few files, like Globalism_1.0NN.lua <= NN character to define version number. You will also get the Store (its an executable).

3. Place the files Globalism_1.0NN.lua AND Globalism_1.0NN.cfg into:

~/.hedgewars/Data/Scripts/Multiplayer (Linux)
~/Library/Application Support/Hedgewars/Data/Scripts/Multiplayer (OSX/Mac)
My Documents/Hedgewars/Data/Scripts/Multiplayer (Windows)

1. Open the store and click on Help? And it will guide you through the customizing of your weaponset/own weapon.

Q and A "Installation".

Q (windows): I have placed the .lua and .cfg files "correctly" and i still cannot play.
A: Make sure its really in "MY DOCUMENTS" and NOT in eg C:/program files/hedgewars... thats the wrong path. It might work locally but custom scripts should be placed into the path mentioned above.

Q (linux): I have placed the .lua and .cfg files "correctly" and i still cannot play.
A: Make sure its really in your home folder (/home/<your username="">/.hedgewars/data/...) and NOT in eg /usr/etc/hedgewars... thats the wrong path. It might work locally but custom scripts should be placed into the path mentioned above.</your>

Q: I only recieve the default weapons, and online i get desyncs.
A: Im 100% sure you have placed the .lua and the .cfg files at the wrong place. Check if both files are placed in the folder above. Check if they are in the correct path.

Q: Im on mac.
A: I hope, that one day someone will make the store and give it to me. Anyways, there is some tricks on installing this mode. 1. Place the script in the path mentioned above. 2. install the program "virtualbox" or any type of vm software you can find. Then download a linux distro and install it into the virtual mashine. then download this mode into the virtual mashine and make the folder ~/.hedgewars/Teams (your teams can be find in: ~/Library/Application Support/Hedgewars/Teams) Move as many teams you want to modify over into ~/.hedgewars/Teams via the virtual mashine. then modify the teams from the store.
OR you can figure out how to compile the store, note that you may need GTK+3 and that you need to modify the path inside the main.c file
