Same problem here...also running Debian Sid (sidux).
GetLive installed from last tarball here and not from Debian repos.
Maybe a curl problem?

Ah, after the curl, libcurl3 and libcurl3-gnutls update ["disable c-ares support again, no fix yet, just get stuff working again"] of today in Debian sid, getlive works again. Sorry for the noise :)

Yes, all ok here with a curl update.
