Hi Corey, I love your patches! They actually seem working fine -- it can successfully create a .ext2 file of 8.5GB! Of course the speed is slow -- I spent about 1.5 hours -- anyway, they do work! :-) BTW, I didn't know why it failed to create a valid .ext2 file in my previous test. That may be related to something else and has nothing to do with your patches. Hi Finn, Xavier and all, how do you think about the stability of Corey's patches? From my limited tests, they seem working fine -- surely I'll do more tests. I think the patches are really useful since nowadays it seems not unusual at all for us to generate >4GB .ext3 image with genext2fs.
