In my work flow I always keep one file open with a worklog and such, and another bunch of files gets opened & closed.
In a other editor i used (Ultraedit for windows), you had the ability to right-click on the Open Files-tab and choose "Close other files" to close all open files except the currently selected one.
In my opinion it would be a timesaver & useful feature, either embedded in the right-click menu, or as a entry in the File-menu.

Sorry, I accidently entered this in bug category instead of feature requests and can't figure out how to move it there.

I'm not sure about this. Adding such a menu item to the notebook tab menu would be the best but it isn't possible without loosing the included tab list which I don't want.
We could add a menu item in the File menu.

I think it would be a useful feature. I'm not sure about the File menu, perhaps. Other alternatives would be the Documents window popup menu, and/or a popup menu for the actual tab close button (currently unused).

Implemented in SVN as a File menu command.
