#799 scrolling has been buggy forever

on highlight when the line is longer than the window (not wrapped) if you highlight part that extends past the window and it needs scrolling the cursor is returned to beginning of line instead of the highlight causing annoying manual scrolling to find what was highlighted and in need of change, it highlights the entire line vs just what was intended, again only this happens if you must scroll horizontally.
