Hi
unfortunately I can't help you much, since we share a problem.
First steps should be (guess so)
Import the gandalf.dsp file. Dev C++ tries to add some non-existent files to the project, you can skip the error- messages. I tried older versions of gandalf to search for these files, I think that the .dsp is quite old and wont work on the 1.6 . Afterwards setting the makefile and adding the libraries should do the job (there is some explanation in the gandalf INSTALL file). They don't on my machine here, though.
I would prefer working on linux and will be able to do so much later. Its a pity though that as a newbie I am not able to compile this lib :)
Anyhow, help welcome
@Razor did you try compiling with MSVC?

Hello, any one can tell me how to set up a project in Dev C++ for Windows to compile gandalf 1.6?
Thanks a lot.

Hi, I had problems with the instalation. You must add to the project all the files starting with image_bgr_ and then the library is built perfectly.
