usually i get in to situations when the phone rings,
and i'm in the middle of a conversation.. it would be
great to have a shortcut to a one word awaymessage
(customizable?)

something like ctrl-p -> Away: Phone
and ofcourse to remove the away status press ctrl-p (or
something alike)

Well, what you want requires presets first... I've yet to
figure out a decent preset UI that I like, I've tried a few
times, but it's always too complicated.
