I'm using the latest CVS (version 0.8.7.12 - last
updated 11/3/02) and I am getting 2 repeated seg faults
which have been occurring for a very long time (I had,
in my stupidity, assumed that everyone else was aware
of them and that if I just kept updating my CVS
regularly they'd be fixed shortly).
The first is that the CVS always crashes when I try
to open the preferences dialog. I actually have the
0.8.7 stable RPM still installed on my machine and I
open it up whenever I need to change my preferences.
The second crash occurs whenever there is a message
in the local spool at startup (e.g. if someone sent me
as message just as I was logging off last time). If
this happens, I have to manually delete the message
from my .Gabber-spool directory before I can get gabber
to start. I think I had this problem in the stable
release too...
I'm running Red Hat 7x on kernel 2.4.7 with GNOME
1.2.13, GTK+ 1.2.10 and GTK-- 1.2.5. If you can't
reproduce these crashes, e-mail kenny@kennypearce.net
and I'll get a stack trace or whatever for you. In a
pinch, I guess I could try to find time to fix it
myself, but free time is a rare and valuable commodity,
so if someone else could get it taken care of, that'd
be great.

Just remembered something else: when I ran the configure
script, the gtkmm test fails for some reason, but when I
pass --disable-gtkmmtest, it compiles fine and the only
problems running are the two bugs noted above.
