Once tamed, Passive Furbies are excellent at following instructions, and you can tell them what you would like them to do by crafting various instructions disks.
To craft these you will need Silicon (see Passive Furbies page) and this can then be crafted with redstone and gold ingots to create a Blank Instructions disk:
These can be crafted with various additional items to create different types of instructions. For example, crafting with a diamond will create a disk that tells a Furby to find diamond ore.
The following is a list of the instructions you can craft from various items:
Item | Instruction |
---|---|
Coal | Find coal ore |
Iron ingot | Find iron ore |
Gold ingot | Find gold ore |
Redstone dust | Find redstone ore |
Lapis Lazuli | Find lapis ore |
Diamond | Find diamond ore |
Emerald | Find emerald ore |
Lava bucket | Find lava (v1.0.2+) |
Obsidian block | Find obsidian (v1.0.2+) |
Rotten flesh | Find mob spawner (v1.0.2+) |
Sugar | Race command |
To give an instruction to a Furby, simply hold the disk and right click on the Furby.
Finding Ores
When finding ores, the Furby will use its magical powers to dig a tunnel to the nearest block of the item, beginning with a trapdoor directly underneath the Furby itself :)
Racing
In order to race, Furbies require Furby Track pieces to be placed in a continuous path. These are crafted from cobblestone and redstone:
Once you have laid out your tracks, you need to put the Furbies into race mode, using a race instructions disk, and push them onto the first square of the track.
Connect redstone wire to the starting square and, when you are ready to start the race, send a redstone signal to tell the Furby to start racing. The signal can be sent to multiple tracks simultaneously, to allow multiple Furbies to race :)
