I would also like the upper limit raised. The highest I can go using the ctrl-+ hotkey is 400%.
As I've been playing around with presentations, I've often wanted to go higher with the hotkey. I have to resort to using ctrl-mouseWheel, my handling of which less precise and it is a minor distraction for my audience.
It might be handy if there were preference settings like in the Behavior tab > "splitting nodes to words" > "node numbers in rows" -- where you can put in a string of numbers reprsenting zoom levels in addition to the default ones.

Sorry. I said ctrl-+. I've remapped. I guess the default is alt-+ for zoom in.
