Replacing the NIC(device driver) create a problem, the new NIC don't came up, no uplink.
Bug confirmed on (0.7 rev 4525 embedded), see:
https://apps.sourceforge.net/phpbb/freenas/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1856&p=8664#p8664

Look like the IPFW and some services depend on original NIC.

    Hi,

this is normal behaviour. You have to go to the console menu and reconfigure the NIC's by using menu 1).

Also for UPnP service. The interface name is stored in the config.xml, so if the user changes the interfaces he also has to update the settings. We can change the combobox here to only display LAN and OPT interfaces which will be transformed to the real interface names on demand (when the service is started/restart). Any comments?

    Regards
    Volker

I understand, it was the first time when I encounter this situation and I was able to recover in less that 5 minutes , however maybe we should add a note on SUG and Wiki about this scenario.

    Regards,
    Dan
