Speaking as the GLUI maintainer, there has been a fair bit
of progress with FreeGLUT and GLUI working happily together
- it's still not quite right, but getting close.
Any more specific information you could provide either here
or on the GLUI forums would be appreciated.

Nigel Stewart

GLUI currently works quite nicely with CVS OpenGLUT,
and it may also be worth testing the next release of
freeglut with GLUI as well. Some subwindow related

Then someone should write glui 3.0 and this time around make
the API conventions identical to glut and OpenGL. I'm a big
fan of the Blender GUI, GHOST, as it has really pretty
scalable vector graphics... that's the way to go.
