Dear friends.

Actually I am quite busy at university so project process is extremely slow. But work is done, particularly on a window manager.

As soon as the window manager reaches a very early, but usable stage, and a shell to start applications from is implemented, a development snapshot will be released.

So stay tuned!

FXEX got its own project:

FXEX is a independet library, that only depends from the FOX toolkit and is used by foxdesktop, but is meant to be used as a general extension to fox.

Please use the infrastructure at the new project site for fxex related information.

I just want to mention, that development of fox desktop environment is in progress.
There are no recent file releases, so nothing on the frontpage shows the progress.

All foXdesktop applications and depending libraries are updated to work with FOX-1.4 (stable)

I just downloaded and compiled FOX-1.3.25, and therefore compiled the latest released versions of foXdesktop applications.
They all work great with FOX-1.3.25.

We aim to switch to FOX-1.4 as soon as it comes out, which should be very soon. We then plan to develop with the stable release of FOX to support you with more stable foXdesktop applications and environment.

I just added a screenshot of foXcommander 0.0.11 in action.
The coloring scheme is blueFox, which you can add yourself in foXdesktop or in the appropriate config File:
~/.foxrc/foXdesktop-components_foXcontrol/DesktopColours

foXcommander 0.0.11 now released. Major changes are the porting to actual gcc 3.3 and fox 1.3.20.
Also some new code is added, e.g. advanced setting storing and a partially rewrite of attribute window, which makes it faster and more portable.
With this release all foXdesktop applications are up to date.
Future plans are to write a window manager and an application launcher to complete a minimalistic desktop environment which is workable and the important basis for future development.

major changes in this release are:
* porting code to gcc 3.3 and 3.4
* porting code to fox 1.3.20, should also work with 1.2 stable branch
* minor bug fixing
* enhanced edit dialog
