SuSE 9 Professional:
1st error :
The 'make' fails when executing the libtool script in the test
directory. The failure is :
Cannot find library
I presume that it is looking for libfc.so in ../src/.libs. It is there
but the command fails to find it.
I changed 'Makefile' - altered SUBDIRS variable to exclude
the test directory and 'make' and 'make install' were successful.
2nd error:
I compiled my code as instructed - when executing the
program failed again to find the libfc.so library. I re-executed the
system command 'ldconfig' to rebuild the library cache and this
fixed it.

The first tip works.
I didn't get to the second point because the program was
complaining about the bfd library (where do I find this?).
I managed to tell autoconf where bfd.h was (part of gcc).
Not exactly usable software. I tried older releases as
well. Check out OProfile and Prospect
