I use gentoo linux (x86_64) with fluxbox. (xorg-server 1.6.3.901-r2

When using fluxbox (tried with 1.1.0, 1.1.1 and trunk) with xcompmgr (1.1.3) or cairo-compmgr (0.2.93 or trunk) as composition manager docks like awm ( 0.3.2.1 and trunk) or cairo-dock (2.0.8.2 and trunk) does not working with true transparency. Both use fake transparency and show that ugly black bar.

Window transparency and shadows works well.

I read that fluxbox does not support 32 bit visuals:

So i want to report the bug, that fluxbox is not working with available composition manager and the mentioned docks. Please also answer if there is no hope at all that this bug will be fixed!

This is a feature request, not a bug. There's an experimental git branch for this named fluxbox_lack.

Thank you, i will test if this branche work with cario-dock or avant-window-navigator. It would be very nice to have that feature in fluxbox!

When i do a
git clone git://git.fluxbox.org/fluxbox_lack.git

i just get a empty folder.

There also no files visible here:
http://git.fluxbox.org/?p=fluxbox_lack.git;a=tree

It says "403 Forbidden - Reading tree failed"

Where can i get this sources please ?

unfortunally it does not solve the problems with cairo-dock cairocomp.
