If I backup a remote server database the .fbk is always stored on the remote end. It would be great if I can do a backup on my local disk. Same for restores.
FlameRobin does use the Firebird service API for database backup and restore, and can only use functionality that is exposed via this API. You should use the Firebird tracker to request such a feature.
