No

For example say you have a folder with Japanese characters in its name and files with Japanese characters in their names. The directory will be ignored like it doesn't exist. If the directory is renamed so the files can be seen, then each one will get a file read or open error.

What about the FLAC frontend (you can do testing with that application as well), does it work properly if you select the files and use the test button?

    Please provide the following information:

    • What OS?
    • What version of FLAC?

    OS is Knoppix (Debian)
It was FLAC 1.3.0, no frontend
I haven't tested the new version yet.

Are you sure? At the time you filed the bug, FLAC 1.3.0 hadn't been released and "FLAC tester" is a Windows application that was shipped with the Windows installer until 1.2.1.

Could you please be more elaborate on the specific conditions, because I really do not understand what you mean and what is happening.

Okay, well, then I admit I don't remember. It has been so long now since I encountered the error. I had probably either booted into Windows or just run FLAC Tester in Wine.

    Thanks

If this is still a problem with the 1.3.1 release, please re-open.

It seems to be working now, thanks.
