Building without OpenGL Support.

While the OpenGL Support allows you have tons of nifty
looking effects. It would be great for lower end
system, or on systems where people can't/don't know how
to get OpenGL Support working, to be able to disable
code compleing of the OpenGL Code in the project and
just have a 2D map display only. Via the vector maps
from mapfiend or the png maps from Randomly.org.
Even with OpenGL Support, it would be nice to select
at run or load time what feature to use. Want to go
sick with this? Multiple map windows, each with a
diffrent view, of the area or split screen view. Just
a thought.

I run excalibur just fine on a mid range system with no 3D
acceleration whatsoever. At any rate, I think it would be
non-trivial to remove openGL code.
