#33 read false surf_press values at MERIS-level2

I would like to read the surface pressure
("surf_press") from the product MERIS level2 with the
C API but the values obtained are false. I try to
extract the aerosol optical thickness
("aero_opt_thick") so as to verify my program and the
values are correct (I try also with "water_vapour" and
the results are correct too). I don't understand why
only the surface pressure is false. Can you explain me
the reason of this problem ?
