It would be nice if date requests of lightning would be also encrypted for
adresses where a key is known.

I'm not sure if this is easily feasible. Meeting requests follow some specific
data format; in order to encrypt these requests, PGP/MIME would be mandatory.
However, at least Outlook and the MS Exchange server cannot handle PGP/MIME,
and I'm not sure about the various collaboration suites like Zimbra.
