Subject line may leak information about encrypted content. Therefor there should be an option in Enigmail (perhaps disabled by default) to check if subject is not filled ("Re:", "Fwd:", ... may be allowed, I guess) when email is being send (and perhaps blank it).

E.g: "Advanced" -> "More options"

[ ] Warn on filled subject
[ ] Blank subject

    I'm not sure if this is something enigmail would be interested in developing as a feature, but until we fix the principal issue (that subjects are not encrypted), one workaround that would be helpful is to offer to generate random word subject lines. E.g. adjective noun verb. Need not be long.

    This would help in keeping track of threaded conversations, And could be enabled as default for emails that are sent without a subject line.

    The only solution is to encrypt the subject (and possibly some more headers). That's part of bug 240 [bugs:#240]; therefore marking this as duplicate.
