.../content/tests/text/mainTextAutoSize.lua
demonstrates how Text2D crashes the Mozilla plugin
when using autofailover to the OpenGL renderer,
as shown on platform:
a) M1QA [Win2K, DX8.1:using OpenGL, ATI Radeon 9200]
Note 1: this problem cannot be reproduced using the
explicit directive
root.rendererType = "OPENGL";
to force OpenGL rendering on a platform which has
DX9.0c installed! In this case, text appearance
using the OpenGL renderer works great and looks great.
Note 2: However, on M1QA, our Dx9-less system,
whether the implicit automatic OpenGL failover
is used, or the explicit
root.rendererType = "OPENGL"; directive is used,
the results reported below are the same; crash.
In .../content/tests/text/mainTextAutoSize.lua,
as well as in all other tests/text/ test cases,
drop the content file into the Firefox desktop icon,
or into the opened Firefox page. Either way,
if the platform is trying to use the OpenGL failover
case, the Emma plugin crashes with the "Something bad
happened" dialog.
