elilo should work on ia32 with current gcc and
binutils. The only reason it doesn't work today is
the linker scripts in gnu-efi-3.0b-041222.tar.gz
are wrong. I posted the gnu-efi patch at

This is resolved in the 3.0c version of gnu-efi
