This is the effect of 3 weeks of hard work of 2 people.
At this point, you get full featured, console based, multithreaded internetch voice chat system.
We ecourage you to download and test is.

If you think you can contribute to the project somehow (f.e. by autoconf'ing it, creating gtk or qt inreface, writine docs) then feel free to contact us!... read more

New release of efone, with compression.

Efone is a distributed internet phone system. It features a voice sending/receiving client (an internet phone) and a central server (administered via the Web) where users' information (name, nick, password, current IP) is stored. It resembles a combination of ICQ and Internet phone.

Changes: This release can be considered as a major breakthrough. Finally ,nearly all functionality is in place (although it's still console based).
What can you expect:
- full support for the matching server.
- GSM compression so you can use it even on 56k lines (it uses 40k for full duplex GSM).
- improved stability.
- make file redesigned.

Initial release. Looking for developers.

I have released my internet phone type application today. It's similar to ICQ but with voice conferencing. The very basic voice client is ready at the moment and i'm looking for developers to help me enhancing it. Also normal users who can submit bug reports are more than welcomed. At this point there is NO compression in the application so you can only use it over ethernet.
