After editing a non-player party member in Single Player Mode, and reforming the party without that NPC, that NPC no longer offers to rejoin the party when "talked" to, and the party can't add that NPC to its ranks, as far as I can tell. When "talked" to, the NPC only responds with the words that the NPC would respond with if clicked on /while/ in the party (e.g. "Yes, oh omnipresent authority figure?" for Jaheira, etc), but that doesn't affect their state of being in-party or not.

    I'll need to look into this. The game has several different embedded character in every save game.

    I cannot replicate with a basic edit. Are you using any other mods?

    Can you attach an unedited and edited save game for inspection?
