I upgraded to edonkeyclc-1.3.0 and ed2k-gtk-gui at the same time, and now find that ed2k-gtk-gui never displays any information about the sites that it visits. The server list shows zero files, zero users, and zero ping for all of the sites. Did something change that caused the gui to not be able to read this info from the server? Or have I done something silly?

Nothing should have changed in that respect.
Sounds like some kind of problem with your UDP setup (that's used for querying ping/users/files for servers).
Does the problem go away again when you downgrade?
