#231 process javaw.exe

hello

I´ve a problem using drjava. When i go to compile a project "Run" and "Test" funcions of drjava main toolbar are disabled. I went to "Windows process manager" and there are 2 process called "javaw.exe" and his discription "Java (TM) Plataform". One has 66k of memory and the other 20k.

By ending the 20k process "Run" an "Test" funcions are active again.The ohter one is drjava,

Can somoene tell me why this happen? i'm usig VistaHomeP 32.

It probably shows "Windows XP" because you are running Java in Windows XP compatibility mode. I don't think that's the cause of the problem, though.
Under Windows Vista Enterprise, I cannot reproduce this.

The small process (20k) is the Interactions Pane JVM. It needs to be restarted after a compile, but seems to hang.

Have you tried clearing your extra classpath (Preferences/Resource Locations) and compiling a simple "Hello World" program?

Also, do you have the JDK (Java Development Kit) installed? DrJava cannot
compile with just the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) present, it needs
the JDK.

Yes i put the program in "run compability mode : Win WP".

In extra classpath trere are two files .jar that i need to run my projects.
Howerver i cleared extra classpath and i've ran "hello world".
But it is the same. "run" and "test" funcions are disabled and i need to end the 20k process manually to make them active.

i've JDK 6.0_16.
