Update Guide

This is for updating from DornCMS 1.3 to DornCMS 1.4. To update from an earlier version, please first update to version 1.3 before following this guide. Instructions are at [Update Guide 1.3].

Since there were no major changes to the file structure in DornCMS 1.4, updating is considerably easier.

WARNING Backup your entire site before updating in case something goes wrong.

Step 1: Download Latest Update File

Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/dorncms/files/ and download the latest update file (currently dorncms_1.4.update.zip file). Extract the file after downloading.

Step 2: Copy Files to Server

Next, recursively copy the files to your server. This will replace all of the internal program files, but will leave your current pages, uploaded files, and settings in tact.
