Hi

I found DocFetcher is awesome application. I have about 50000 books and this software saves me a lot of time searching through those documents.

However, the main disappointment is it doesn't support epub and mobi, which is now very popular book format (as the rise of e-reader and tablet device). Half of my library is epub and I thought ePub is basically html and css, so it must be easy to extract texts.

Hopefully, next release will support this 2 formats. Thanks for reading.

The various e-book formats have not been implemented yet due to lack of time, but are planned for the future.

EPUB support was added in DocFetcher 1.1.10.

Hmhh?
I have just installed DF, have several epub files on my PC and notice that DF does not consider or take their contents into account or display them. What could be the reason? What can I do?
E.g. there is no problem with lots of other formats, like pdf, ... :))

DocFetcher does not always succeed in reading more complex file formats like docx or epub. Sometimes there are these odd files that DocFetcher fails to index for one reason or another. Unfortunately, DocFetcher is not being actively developed anymore, so the best you could do is try to convert these files to another format that DocFetcher might have less trouble reading, e.g. PDF or OpenOffice/LibreOffice.
