Are you not aware that DocFetcher 1.0.3 is also capable of searching in PDF
files?
The only major change from version 1.0.3 to 1.1 beta with respect to PDF was
that the beta now loads PDF files page-by-page in order to display the preview
more quickly.
Have you tried indexing and searching smaller PDF files (e.g. less than 500
KB)?

I use since years docfetcher and I like it very very much!
Thank you for the new beta.
I checked it today and found it great that docfetcher now search also in
pdf's.
But unfortunately, it is very slow.
When I click on a pdf found, it takes many minutes to open a pdf and to find
all search items.
And worse my cpu usage = 100% during activity.

DocFetcher 1.1 has just been released, and it has a reworked preview pane for
PDF files that should fix this issue.
