#1 Adobe Premiere incompatibility

I run Adobe Premiere 6.0 on windows XP professional,
and after installing divx total pack, premiere couldn't
play any more video files. It simply doesn't seem to
recognize the file format (which is dv avi), allthough
it doesn't give any error report (which it normally
does in such cases). Uninstalling divx total pack
solved the problem. So it seems the pack somehow
interferes with Premiere's codec handling, or
something, i'm by no means an expert in the matter ;)
